Arabian Nights Band Sampler (#23)

This sampler was inspired by embroidery on clothing worn in the Middle East. Instead of designing the bands horizontally, I left them vertically as most of them are used that way. This sampler was stitched in two version, one on black Jubilee with red and gold Splendor silks, the other on Light Exemplar linen from Lakeside Linen with burgundy and dark olive green Splendors. You can choose whichever version you like best.

Doves wedding sampler (#24)

This wedding sampler is similar in style to the Christmas Reindeer sampler. Eight doves hold hearts between them and are surrounded by tulips. In the middle is room for the names of the happy couple and the wedding date and year(s). I designed this to commemorate my parentsī 40th anniversary.

Greek Island Band Sampler (#27)

When my brother graduated from high school my parents took us to Greece for four weeks. We had a marvellous time and I just loved the country and the people. We didnīt find any needleworkshop but saw several antique household linens from various Greek Islands in musea. This sampler is inspired by those motifs and the colors were chosen with the original linens in mind. You will stitch it on 32 count antique white Belfast with Sampler Threads.

It is a quick and fun stitch, with 2 colors of Weeks Dye Works, a Kreinik #4 braid and Mill Hill beads. Finishing is easy and instructions are included.
